Get to know Devin Solow:
Devin was raised in Chapel Hill and continued his education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he double majored in Business Administration and Mathematics. Upon graduation, Devin spent nearly a decade in various finance and M&A roles at a family office. Devin began investing in real estate in 2018 with the purchase of the building that ultimately became the home for the Better companies’ Durham office and has since expanded to helping others invest in real estate just as he did. He currently resides in Durham with his wife, 2 cats and dog.

Avery, born in Vancouver, Canada, moved to the U.S. for college soccer and higher education. He studied Math & Statistics at the University of New Hampshire and Colby College. After college, Avery worked in insurance and explored real estate investing in Boston. Now, he owns about $4 million in real estate, starting with a duplex he househacked in 2019. In 2021, Avery and his girlfriend, Mia, moved to Durham for Mia’s PhD at Duke University. Avery’s passion led him to pursue full-time real estate work. He enjoys managing his properties in Boston and North Carolina, including short-term Airbnb and long-term rentals. In his free time, Avery likes exercising, soccer, hiking, reading, and talking about real estate. Avery’s unwavering dedication to the real estate sector positions him as an invaluable resource for anyone seeking to buy, sell, or invest in North Carolina’s thriving real estate market.
